Life as a Student
Classes, clinical rotations, and study groups, the life of a nursing student is a busy, but meaningful one. At Texarkana College we have the resources and support available to make our nursing students’ experience the best it can be.
Simulations & Training
Student simulations and training scenarios provide a safe and controlled environment for students to practice and refine their clinical skills, decision-making abilities, and communication strategies. Simulations also offer an opportunity for students to learn from mistakes and receive feedback from experienced instructors, which can ultimately enhance patient safety and improve the quality of care provided by future nurses.
Clinical Rotations
Clinical rotations at area hospitals provide students with hands-on experience in real healthcare settings, allowing them to apply their knowledge and skills in the context of patient care under the supervision of experienced healthcare professionals.
Nursing Student Organizations
Joining student clubs and organizations on campus, such as the Student Nurses Association or Alpha Delta Nu Honor Society, can provide valuable networking opportunities, allow you to connect with like-minded peers, and enhance your overall college experience by providing a supportive community and opportunities for personal and professional growth. Plus, involvement in extracurricular activities can also be attractive to future employers and graduate programs. Nursing students can join any TC club or organization on campus.
